We hired Shane and RS Surveying to survey our Haliburton cottage. The old hand-drawn survey from the early 1900s was insufficient. Our property has a mainland and island lot connected by a 150-foot causeway, which we wanted to widen for vehicle access.
Shane and his team delivered on time and went above and beyond, assisting our lawyer with approvals from the Township, County, MNRF, and DFO. He researched records back to 1853 and confirmed the lakebed was non-navigable water, with flooding caused by an 1871 dam—key to establishing our ownership and gaining approval to rebuild and widen the causeway.
